When should we start the process of ordering our stationery?
Save the dates are usually sent 9 months to one year in advance. Invitations are typically sent 3 to 4 months in advance, longer for destination weddings. You should be starting the ordering process when you have the majority of the information you need to communicate to your guests, and most importantly a date and venue.
How long do we need to allow?
Our collections have an average turn around time of 4 to 6 weeks, usually shorter, but it does depend on how busy our studio is. Bespoke orders can take up to around 12 weeks, depending on the number of items required and sourcing the little extras. We do occasionally have to turn down bespoke projects because we are so busy, so please drop us an email as soon as possible if you are interested in a bespoke design..
What is included in the price of the custom collections?
Our prices for all of the pieces available in the custom collections include personalising the content and changing the colours of the design. The majority of our designs can be changed to any colour, but a small selection, which feature hand-painted elements, have a set range of colours that can be used, all shown at the bottom of the collection page. How many do I need?
For invitations we recommend 1 per household/delivery address, plus an additional 15% to ensure you have spares, plus a few to keep. Please note that our minimum order is 20 copies of all invitation suite items.
What paper do you print on?
For all our custom collections our standard paper is 300gsm Gesso. It is off-white and has a slightly hammered texture to the paper. We also offer a standard alternative; smooth white at 350gsm. When producing digitally foiled designs we print on 350gsm silk stock and finish with a velvet, soft-touch coating to protect the foiled design. We have a range of other papers available, including several stocks with a light shimmer and brown kraft card. Please email us for more information and details on pricing. Our printer is based in the UK and is FSC certified.
If you decide to go for our bespoke service, we will have a conversation about different printing processes that will suit your requirements and options on papers to use. We have experience in designing for letterpress and foil embossed designs also.
Do you offer alternative envelopes?
Yes, we love pairing coloured and metallic envelopes with our suites. All of our invitations, save the dates and R.S.V.Ps are supplied with a matching (Gesso or smooth white) envelope, but we can supply alternatives at an additional cost of £10.
What is your delivery process?
We charge a rate of £10 on all orders, whether that is just a set of invites or an entire stationery suite. We currently use Royal Mail and will ship to one address. We can also deliver internationally but please consider the time this takes when ordering. There will be an additional cost for international shipping, calculated based on order size and weight.
Can you supply the design for me to print myself?
Unfortunately, no. To protect our intellectual property and ensure the highest standards of our finished products, we do not supply digital artwork.
