Folly and Gander (herby referred to as F&G) take our customers privacy very seriously and the following policy outlines how we use and protect any information you give us when you use this website and contact F&G with regard to any of our services.

 

Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. F&G may update this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page occasionally ensure you are happy with the changes. This policy is effective from 21/05/2018.

 

What we collect

In order to provide our services, information we collect from you may include (but is not limited to); names, email address, telephone numbers, shipping address, billing address, wedding details, guest information and addresses, and other information relevant to a transaction.

 

By supplying us with the relevant required information, you are consenting to F&G’s use of your data as detailed below.

 

What we do with your information

The information we collect is primarily used for completing and delivering your order and internal record keeping. In some circumstances the information may be used for the following reasons to help provide better service;

  • Job management

  • Testimonial requests and follow ups

  • Samples
    With your consent we will keep samples of your finished designs on file for photographing, portfolio and marketing purposes. This includes using them on our website and social media, including them in sample packs and displaying them at wedding fairs and events after your event has concluded. Prior to your event we may use discreet images that exclude details of your event. For example; we may share a close up shot of the design showing your names but not location or date details. We will not use anything with your home address on.

  • Other
    On the occasion of your order requiring items to be individually personalised information may be sent to our suppliers to fulfil these orders. By supplying us with guest information, including but not limited to names and addresses, you confirm you have consent to share the information with F&G for the purpose of completing your order.

 

How long we store the information we gather

Your information will be deleted from our systems 6 months after the date of your event. This includes; addresses, wedding details, guest information and addresses and wording for your stationery. Copies of printed pieces and digital files created during your jobs will be kept indefinitely. Emails will be deleted within 12 months of the final job completing. Invoices containing your name and billing address will be kept for 7 years as per UK tax regulations.  

 

Security

F&G are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical and electronic safeguards.

 

Controlling your information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information.

F&G will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.

You may request details of personal information which F&G hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you do so please email admin@follyandgander.co.uk. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information.
